once the NPC has been pickpocketed he's too alerted to be pickpocketed again regardless of the player character who is attempting this Originally posted by BenTenpenny:In a different thread I suggested the following: As to insure that players who steal with a low level thieving skill aren't feeling cheated out of loot on higher level as the steal cap right now moves exponentially at higher levels. Secondly it should also be possible to further steal from the same target for the remainder of the gold cap. In order to achieve the best gameplay result I would say 2 things should be done, The amount you can steal from a singular target should be limited by thievery skill like now, but it should be global for the entire party. So my opinion is that they might as well make it "gameplay friendly" while being relatively unrealistic. Seeing as how the player character is *sneaking* and is not seen, there would be no risk of recognition by the target. The point is to not allow a player to redistribute civil ability points between 7 or more characters to continuously picpocket targets until they are high and dry.įurthermore none of it makes any sense anyway, in a realistic scenario one character alone should be able to pickpocket the same target an infinite number of times, easily. This is going to sound a little lame because of course more than 1 character should be able to pickpocket a target.
